Elevating Creators and Creative Experiences for All
In 2022, hundreds of Pinellas County residents participated in our WE Convene initiative exploring the many ways the arts support a connected and thriving world.
We discovered multiple examples of the way art amplifies our deeply held civic values and strengthens our bonds to each other.
We examined best practices and trends in public and performing arts, dived into accessibility, equity, and economic well-being for artists, and looked at the role of both tourism and arts education in elevating our community well-being.
We convened, we listened, and we learned.
And now… we are going Current.
Current is a new initiative to assess the needs and aspirations of the creative community in Pinellas County, resulting in a plan driving dynamic, equitable and sustainable development of the arts and cultural sectors for the next five to ten years.
Current is a safe, common space for active
listening, understanding and connection in the
context of human experience and expression.
We invite everyone with an interest in shaping the future of Pinellas County to lend your voice and experience to the planning process.

A cultural planning project of Pinellas County, 2023-25.
Current is a countywide cultural plan in support of Pinellas County artists, the arts community and the community at large. It is managed by Creative Pinellas, the county’s Local Arts Agency, and funded by Visit St. Petersburg Clearwater.
